If you have chosen to give your life to Jesus…Congrats!!! We are rejoicing alongside God’s angels at this news! If you have rededicated your life, we are ecstatic to have you back home.
Below are some steps to take for your growth and commitment on your new journey with Jesus. Remember, it’s a lifestyle not a one time deal.

Attend a bible teaching church
according to hebrews 10:25, we should get in the habit of regularly attending a bible teaching church or a bible study. attending regularly helps you to find community which become like family. they will encourage you and help you in times of need and will help you to grow in your understanding of God and his word.
it is important for you to know that church and jesus followers are good for you but DO NOT place any expectations on people. your hope and expectations are oNLY to be placed on God. people are people, imperfect and flawed and will let you down at some point or another. God is the only one that will never let you down.
Get water Baptized
Acts 2:38 shows how everyone who repents of their sin and accepts Jesus as savior should be water baptized. it symbolizes us leaving our old sin nature in the water and coming out a new person.
Read the Bible
2 Timothy 3:16 shows how the bible is God inspired to guide and comfort us in our time of need. we should study it and meditate on it. the bible is not just a reading book but a manual on how to a live christ-like life. it contains many of people’s stories on what to do or not do.
Serve your church or community
Matthew 23:11 says that to be great is to be a servant. if you have ever volunteered somewhere you know how fulfilling it feels which is also what acts 20:35 says. serving others is not only biblical and rewarding but it also transforms your life to be a giver. this is as close to being like jesus as we can get.
serving also brings you closeness to your church or community as you create friendships working along side each other.
